2016 Quinte International Air Show

Would you like to volunteer?

The Quinte International Air Show 2016 requires the support and participations of the Quinte West community. The experiences will build friendship and memories between the volunteers and 8 Wing/CFB Trenton personnel.

We invite all members of the community to apply for available positions. Age restrictions and Police Record Check will apply in certain areas.

Volunteers Areas

Hosting is one of the most important positions at the Airshow! You are representing the Quinte International Air Show to each one of our patrons and to our sponsors on a personnel basis. A smiling face and friendly, helpful disposition are a must!

The main hosting areas are: VIP Area, Sponsor Chalet, Bleacher Seating, the Information/Lost and Found Kiosks and the Main Entrance Gates.

On-Field Support

Throughout the weekend of the Quinte International Air Show, the On-Field Support crew will be carrying out delivery, garbage pick-up and other requirements as directed by the Support Director. Volunteers will be match up with an 8 Wing/CFB Trenton military partner. This crew will work in pairs and may require some lifting.

The volunteers in conjunction with the 8 Wing/CFB Trenton personnel will offer a warm greeting to all our guests. You will be helping with the distribution of bracelet, the event programs and guiding guest towards their area of interest.

Parking and Traffic Directions

These volunteers will be helping out in the many designated parking lots around 8 Wing/CFB Trenton. The incoming patrons will require direction on where to park and which ticket line to go to. This crew will work throughout the show, ushering traffic onsite in the morning and out in the afternoon.

Bleachers Seating

The Quinte International Air Show will offer reserved seating at the front of the crowd line. Members on the Bleacher Seating crew will check pre-paid tickets and usher patrons to their seats.

Kid Zone Area

Volunteers in the Kid Zone Area will be helping with face painting, helping the kids go through an obstacle course and many more activities. The breast feeding and diaper change area will require a crew to ensure that the areas are clean and safe to use by our guests.

Thank You!

8 Wing Trenton would like to thank all those who made the Quinte International Air Show (QIAS) 2016 an unequivocal success. The overall goal of the QIAS Team was to deliver an exciting show, which highlighted our history and heritage by commemorating the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan (BCATP).

The QIAS 2016 could not have been a success without the commitment of our 8 Wing personnel and volunteers, who put so much effort forward to ensure we were able to hold an international event. Hosting an airshow at 8 Wing Trenton was our opportunity to welcome people from the surrounding communities, as our guests, into the home of Air Mobility.

The other key to the success of QIAS 2016 was the incredible support of our many sponsors, partners and our local communities. Without their commitment to helping us achieve our goals, the QIAS would not have been able to host such a world class event.

QIAS 2016 was truly a combined effort from all those involved and we are excited to start planning for the QIAS 2018.

This website and the QIAS office is now closed. However, if you have any questions or concerns please contact us by email at airshow@cfbtrenton.com
